The building process is multi-faceted, requiring several threads to be pulled together all at once: design, ongoing close consultation with the client, compliance with Glasgow Building Control regulations and engineer’s specifications, co-ordination and ordering of trades, supervision of tradesmen when needed, waste removal, site maintenance, liaising with Glasgow Building Controllers - and tying up all loose ends. All aspects must be tightly managed.
Management of projects, from small-to-large, is the core of Adelphi’s business, from individual alterations in homes to large scale warehouse and office fit-outs.
We have very effectively conducted numerous conversions in the West End and South Side of Glasgow (along with Bearsden, Milngavie and Lenzie) where Glasgow Builders’ heritage must rank among Europe’s finest. Such projects have been a testimony to our considerable attention to detail and serious respect for the original design and finish. Another very common type of Glasgow building, the ‘room and kitchen’ or one bedroom tenement flat, can be reconfigured to add an additional bedroom. We have undertaken this conversion regularly over recent years.
On a much larger scale, Adelphi has managed warehouse and office fit-outs from empty shell to final completion, along with full refurbishment of existing offices and facilities.
